It is always so amazing to me that they can go from this itty bitty 5lb, 13oz baby to a standing, babbling, smiley one year old. It makes my heart so happy to capture this fleeting 1st year of life.
When Charlotte's Mom and I talked about this session she told me she was curious how she would respond to touching the cake since she is not always sure of new feelings/textures. Well, I can say that she did very well. This is what was left of the cake when Charlotte was done with it:
It is not often that I get to see a cake as annihilated as Charlotte's was. It was amazing because she managed to barely get herself messy despite flinging cake here and there and actually sitting on it at one point. Her parents and I were cracking up almost the whole time, but Charlotte was pretty serious about it . . . she was on a mission and very focused. It was too cute!
Charlotte was one of my easiest and most sleepy newborns to date and now has the record for most destroyed cake. Well done little lady and Happy early Birthday!!
