How gorgeous is this momma?! I love to experiment with lighting during maternity sessions. Dramatic studio lighting in black-and-white gives an image that “wow factor.” It also helps to have a beautiful smile, long flowing blonde hair, and the perfect baby bump.

After shooting mostly in the studio, we decided to take advantage of that golden hour glow and head outside. We mixed things up a bit by using a combination of the maternity gowns that I have available in my client wardrobe and a more casual look that this family brought and wanted to include.

This blended family of four welcomed their baby boy, Jaxson, to the world 12 days before coming into the studio. Jaxson is JNP’s newest baby membership baby, and I am so excited to see him grow throughout his first year!

After family portraits, it was all about Jaxson! His pouty lips and calm disposition left quite an impression. He was a dream to transition into the much-admired and ever-popular bucket pose. With his cute little tongue poking through his lips in almost every image, we couldn’t help but ogle over how adorable he looked throughout his entire newborn session.
