Some of you may recognize this mom. Jenny is my assistant, who has been with JNP for two and a half years. Her son, J.D., came home with an assignment from school requesting that a family photo be brought back for a family tree project the kids were putting together for class. While searching for a family picture, Jenny realized that the last ones they had were from three years prior. We had to remedy this situation, and fast! It just so happened that their family was bringing home a new puppy the day before we had planned this family session. What better way to celebrate a new furry family member than with a family session?
I am no stranger to these cuties, so having them in front of the camera felt like just another day with “Mrs. Jess.” They are the sweetest, most loving duo and I always love photographing them!
Everyone, meet Poppy! The puppy that quite literally crawled her way into this family’s hearts…and sweater. It was a chilly late November evening, but Poppy thought it was nice and warm in Dad’s sweater!
You know how there is always that one family member who says, “I really don’t think we need to add a puppy to the family.” Would you believe it if I told you that person was Dad? Just look at that top-right image . . . Poppy was his buddy from the start!
In addition to an updated family image, Jenny requested that we get an up-close shot of the kid’s eyes. I have a similar print of another sibling duo hanging on the studio wall, which seems to be a favorite of many of my clients.
I just love seeing the combination of each parent's genes come out in their children’s specific traits. Why do the boys always get the naturally curled lashes? Figures!
