“Treat yourself” was the motto for this session! Kristyn runs a business, is a wife, a mom, and an inspiration! She came to me with a vision, and together we brought that vision to life! Kristyn wanted to celebrate her 40th birthday in style, and we did just that!

Fun fact: Kristyn and I met at the gym eight years ago! She now runs the show at CrossFit Frederick. Kristyn also has a spunky 5-year-old little girl, Nora, whom I have photographed numerous times. Check out Nora’s newborn session here. Nora is one of JNP’s “first-year plan” babies. I loved using the same prop from her newborn session, sitter session, and her 1-year/cake smash session to emphasize just how much she grew and changed throughout her first year. After we took advantage of the beautiful lighting, we headed inside for some studio portraits. These images speak for themselves. I’m a big fan of the dramatic lighting in the bottom image. After this session, I think everyone deserves to celebrate their adult birthdays with professional commemorative images!
