Photoshoot Goals with Sabrina

Not everyone is comfortable being in front of the camera, but Sabrina was seriously photoshoot goals.  When she came to the studio last summer to celebrate her 16th birthday, she was completely at ease.  From having her hair done to posing with different backgrounds, she was in her element!  Hopefully, we’ll get to work together again when it comes time for her senior portraits.

Considering most of the birthday girls I work with are only a year old, I was excited to try something new.  Sabrina played a big role in the planning phase, from choosing our location to styling her outfits for the session.  On the day of our photoshoot, she drove up from Silver Spring, Maryland with her brother Daniel and full wardrobe.  All of the pieces she picked perfectly showcased her individual style.

Even the weather cooperated that day, with the rain holding off just long enough for us to get outside and capture some amazing shots.  On a related note, I want to commend the stylist who came to the JNP Studio and gave Sabrina these beautiful curls.  Not only did they look amazing at the beginning of our session, but they also held up against Maryland’s infamous humidity!  As we explored downtown New Market, she remained as photogenic as ever.

Her brother, Daniel, accompanied us outside, too.  Presumably to ensure she fully enjoyed her Sweet 16 experience.  She maintained her composure in these shots, but we had a lot of fun behind the scenes.  Some of the sillier shots—including those mid-laugh captures—I saved for their private Reveal Day.  I can’t put everything on the blog, after all!
