A Sweet Celebration for Nora
Watching Nora grow through her First Year Plan has been a joy for everyone around her! (Myself included.) For those of you who may not be familiar with this program, it’s basically something I developed a few years ago to help parents capture the many milestones newborns experience. The Deibler family decided to participate when baby Nora was born and we celebrated her first birthday last summer with a super sweet Cake Smash!
This actually marked my sixth session with Nora (and her awesome parents) between various mini sessions and milestone shoots. Looking back at all of the photos we took between her newborn photoshoot and this one, you can really see how much she’s grown! Her facial expressions and happy outlook are consistent throughout, though.
She really seems to light up in the photos with her parents. I would say she’s daddy’s little girl, but she got just as excited when Mom came around. The three of them honestly had such a great time as we walked around downtown New Market. It was truly my pleasure to enjoy the day with them and capture as many precious memories as I could.
Of course, we have to talk about the purple! I wish I could take credit for the wardrobe choices you see here, but that goes to Mom. We had previously discussed the color palette we wanted to create for this Cake Smash shoot, so Mom brought a bunch of outfits to the JNP Studio that day. For my part, I worked on providing the cake. With the help of a local baker, we were able to produce this purple and teal confection that was both adorable and eggless!
Nora wasn’t totally sure about the Cake Smash at first, but she sampled her fair share of cake and icing (with our assistance). Honestly, I don’t know that I’ve ever seen the JNP Studio look that clean following a Cake Smash session—not that I’m complaining! The time I saved cleaning, I spent creating a beautiful heirloom for the Deibler family from that day.
