Thankful for 2019

With Thanksgiving just around the corner—and holiday preparations well underway—I wanted to take the time to honor the true meaning of this celebration.  To me, that’s simply saying “Thank You!”  Thank you to all of the friends, family, clients, and community members who have helped to make 2019 such an amazing year.  

I recognize that not everyone shares my enthusiasm for this past year.  Admittedly, there have been a lot of ups and downs, but it’s been one of the best periods of my life—by far.  Not only did I celebrate 10 years of pursuing my passion at Jessica Neumann Photography.  But also, I spent all of 2019 in my brand-new studio space (conveniently located in downtown New Market).  Of course, I wouldn’t be here without an amazing support system. 

For those of you who don’t know, I started this business out of my home a decade ago. As a new mom, I was constantly marveling at the little wonders my children produced.  I wanted to capture them, too, but a few quick snaps or smartphone photos weren’t enough for me!  My love for photography grew very organically.  After I learned how to translate my own family dynamic on film, I was approached by friends, neighbors, and family members who wanted me to photograph them.  I can’t thank you all enough for trusting me during those first few years and giving me the encouragement I needed to develop the JNP Studio.  I still remember the first few families who came to me as strangers, like it was yesterday!

In 2019 alone, I’ve had the pleasure of working with over 70 babies and families!  Including some familiar faces, such as the McCord family.  I’m thankful that I have the opportunity to reunite with you every fall and watch your family grow!  To the Lee/Chandra family, thank you for sticking with me since the beginning!  They’re already on their 7th year in a row with JNP and I look forward to many more.  I met the Finan family back in 2014 and we’ve been meeting annually ever since!  I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed all of our sessions—they’re certainly never dull.  

Thanks to all of my Baby Planners!  To the families who’ve not only trusted me with their newborns, but brought their babies back again and again.  Together, we’ve captured beautiful memories and created priceless mementos that you’ll have to treasure.  Including the Smith, Deibler, Bee, Gharzi, Hollander, Pugh, Carroll, Huber and Latham families.

While I don’t know how I’ll ever be able to thank everyone who has helped to make Jessica Neumann Photography what it is today, I hope this serves as a great start.  To all of the people I didn’t specifically mention by name, please know that I am thinking of you and your wonderful families this holiday season.  Happy Thanksgiving!
