Three Generations at the JNP Studio
While most of the newborn sessions at the JNP Studio feature Mom and Dad in some way, the Doudt family brought a surprise when they came to see me last April. Baby Audrey, at 13 days old, was accompanied by her older brother, Wyatt, her parents, and even her grandmother! Before the day was over, we were able to capture these really special images with three generations of women in this family.
Still, the star of this photoshoot was newborn Audrey! She was right on the cusp of newborn photography, since most photographersβmyself includedβrecommend scheduling the session within the first two weeks. After that, babies often become more alert, fussier, and their appearance starts to change. But Audrey was super laidback. I loved how relaxed she seemed, regardless of what was going on around her.
Fortunately, we had Wyatt there to supervise. He takes his duties as an older brother very seriously. So, he remained busy watching over his newborn baby sister throughout the session. Occasionally, I have to coax siblings into loving poses like the ones you see here. In this particular case, though, Wyatt needed very little encouragement from me. Actually, the entire Doudt family seemed more than happy to welcome Audrey in 2019.
As a local photographer in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area, I often get to work with my friends and neighbors. I include both Doudts in this category since Iβve known these parents personally for a few years nowβsince weβre all members of Odin CrossFit in Frederick. Theyβre as warm and welcoming as youβd expect from these perfect family portraits!
I couldnβt be happier to share this newborn experience with them and all three generations of their family. If youβre interested in scheduling a session with Jessica Neumann Photography for 2020, please contact us today! I look forward to photographing many new and familiar faces this year.
