Out & About in Frederick with the Hendersons
When it comes to family portraits, there’s no “one size fits all” solution. As a photographer, I love working with people who aren’t afraid to step outside of the traditional poses and really have fun during our photoshoots! The Hendersons definitely did that when we took a walk around Frederick, Maryland last fall. Although no one was more excited that day than Tinkerbell.
Three Generations at the JNP Studio
While most of the newborn sessions at the JNP Studio feature Mom and Dad in some way, the Doudt family brought a surprise when they came to see me last April. Baby Audrey, at 13 days old, was accompanied by her older brother, Wyatt, her parents, and even her grandmother! Before the day was over, we were able to capture these really special images with three generations of women in this family.
Hanna's One Year Donut Celebration {Frederick, MD 1st Birthday Photographer}
Celebrating little Hanna on her 1st birthday was so fun! She was full of smiles and silly faces. We did 2 outfits before her “Donut Smash” and a bubble bath after to clean up. This is quite typical of how my one-year sessions flow. I love the variety it gives and it keeps the babies interested!
Spring into the New Year!
Can you believe the New Year is less than 2 weeks away? Although winter is just getting started here, my photographer brain is already planning ahead for spring sessions! Maybe I’m just feeling inspired by one of my favorite photoshoots from 2019. Featuring the Chandra-Lee family, who’s been with me since the beginning of Jessica Neumann Photography. Honestly, these portraits remind me why I started this small business in the first place.
Princess Perfection in Maryland
Every princess deserves a little magic, even in unexpected places. When I met with the Mason sisters in a sunlit field, away from Maryland’s many cities and towns, I was hoping for something magical. Between the setting, the sisters, and their princess style, I wasn’t disappointed!
Catching Up with Friends Old & Newborn
When one of your oldest friends has a baby, how do you find time to catch up? Recently, I had the rare privilege of mixing my personal and professional lives thanks to this handsome guy! On top of photographing newborn Camden, I also got to share the joy of this perfect baby with parents Carly and Conor.
Thinking Outside the Box for Headshots
I know what you’re thinking—Jessica Neumann Photography does headshots?! While it’s not what people first think of when they picture JNP, it’s actually one of my favorite services to provide. Especially when I get to work with clients like this local professional. Normally, I have the honor of photographing the entire family. But when Mom asked me to take some unique headshots, I immediately jumped at the chance to do something different.
Lots of Laughs with the Johnson Family
I have the distinct pleasure of photographing some of the best families around Frederick, Maryland. Not only are they up for stepping outside of the studio. But also, they’re engaging and hilarious—both on and off camera. I definitely shared some laughs with the Johnson family this past June, as we caught up on how much had changed over the past five years.
Thankful for 2019
With Thanksgiving just around the corner—and holiday preparations well underway—I wanted to take the time to honor the true meaning of this celebration. To me, that’s simply saying “Thank You!” Thank you to all of the friends, family, clients, and community members who have helped to make 2019 such an amazing year.
Stronger than Your Average Newborn
Believe it or not, Jaxon was only 13 days old when he first came to the JNP Studio! The Baker family was looking for a newborn photographer close to their Frederick home and, luckily, they chose me. I was happy to welcome the trio this past August for what turned out to be an extraordinary experience.
Inside the Studio with Gemma
Even at 10 months old, Gemma packs a lot of personality! When she came to the JNP Studio with her mom this past March, I instantly knew it was going to be a great session. Without any encouragement from the photographer, Gemma was pointing those toes, assuming her favorite straddle position, and batting those big brown eyes.
Spending Time Outdoors with the Huber Family
Although I spend a lot of time in the studio, I recently drove out to Marriottsville for a beautiful fall shoot with the Huber family. We had met previously during baby Ellie’s newborn session here in New Market, Maryland. So, I was delighted to visit their property and see how much had changed over the past 9 months!
